Modern Madeline

This summer I really wanted to concentrate on fast and easy patterns that I could sit down with a precut and get to sewing. Summers are full and busy and so so fun, and yet I *need* to keep my hands busy and my creative outlet will always be sewing.

But as I was working on the patchwork patterns (Eloise, Madeline, and Ramona), I wanted to give them a settled, modern spin too. And for Madeline, it made the most sense for that to be with some solids in rows. If you don't know the children's book, you should. I still love it.

For the quilt top and backing, I used all Art Gallery Fabrics. Here's a list of the colors:

    • Miami Sunset
    • Northern Waters
    • Sugar Plum
    • Ocean Fog
    • Tigerlily
    • Gingerbread
    • Crystal Pink
    • Lemon Tart
    • White Linen background

I sent this one to be quilted by Tawny Oland and I love how it turned out! It's just darling!

This is a favorite and I'm already scheming what colors I'll do next. Head over to the shop to snag your pattern! And if you want to make this exact one, Linli over at Lamb and Loom has a limited number of kits available!
